Indowind Energy(up 5.00%), KKV Agro(up 5.00%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.48%), Adani Transmissions(up 3.00%), ADANIGREEN(up 2.46%), K.P.I. Global Infras(up 1.70%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 0.80%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.76%) stood among the top gainers.
Tata Power Company(down 5.12%), JSW Energy(down 4.99%), Jyoti Structures(down 4.76%), NLC India(down 4.14%), PTC India(down 3.54%), Voltamp Transformers(down 3.49%), ABBPP&SLTD(down 3.36%), Inox wind(down 3.06%), Reliance Power(down 2.88%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 2.65%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 133.85 points down at 17764.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 372.32 points at 59636.01.
State Bank of India(up 1.13%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.76%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.7%), HDFC Bank(up 0.56%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.46%), Reliance Industries(up 0.38%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.35%) and ICICI Bank(up 0.21%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 3.86%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 3.22%), Tech Mahindra(down 3.13%), Larsen & Toubro(down 2.86%), HCL Technologies(down 2.8%), Tata Steel(down 2.74%), Eicher Motors(down 2.65%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.47%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.35%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.05%) closed in the red.
