The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 180.7 points down at 17584.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 639.93 points at 58996.08 at around 11:24AM.
Bharti Airtel(up 3.98%), Asian Paints(up 1.84%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.38%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.99%), Wipro(up 0.94%), Cipla(up 0.86%), Britannia Industries(up 0.83%), Grasim Industries(up 0.65%) and JSW Steel(up 0.61%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 4.23%), Reliance Industries(down 3.42%), Tata Motors(down 3.27%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.02%), State Bank of India(down 2.87%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.85%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.68%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.14%), Maruti Suzuki(down 2.01%) and NTPC(down 1.92%) were trading in the red.
