NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 198.37 points down at 58267.52 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, GCM Comm(down 9.85 per cent), Hanman Fit(down 9.47 per cent), Chandrima Mercantile(down 9.20 per cent), Silver Oak(down 8.74 per cent) and Joonktollee Tea(down 7.93 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 32.05 points down at 17384.5.
On the BSE, GCM Comm, Sigachi Industries Ltd., Flora Textiles, Kansal Fibres and Narayani Steels hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Latent View Analytics Ltd., SBC Exports, Ajanta Soya, Rasi Electrodes and Jindal Worldwide touched their fresh 52-week highs.
