NEW DELHI: Vedanta (number of shares traded: 26.91 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 7.70 crore), Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 4.15 crore), Trident Ltd(number of shares traded: 3.76 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.52 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 3.28 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 3.21 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 2.87 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.54 crore) and NALCO(number of shares traded: 2.17 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:26AM in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 31.75 points down at 17384.8, while BSE Sensex was down 215.0 points at 58250.89 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.57 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.29 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.50 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.50 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
