Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:04AM

Nakoda Group(up 4.97%), Dodla Dairy(up 3.43%), Future Consumer(up 2.96%), Parag Milk(up 1.86%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.59%), Prataap Snacks(up 1.43%), Vadilal Industries(up 1.36%), Varun Beverages(up 1.36%), ADF Foods(up 1.13%) and JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.05%) were among the top gainers.

Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 1.37%), Hind.Foods(down 1.07%), DFM Foods(down 0.77%), Umang Dairies(down 0.75%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.57%), Emami(down 0.51%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.47%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.34%), Dangee Dums(down 0.32%) and Dabur India(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 7.4 points down at 17409.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 111.82 points at 58354.07 at around 10:04AM.

JSW Steel(up 3.63%), Tata Steel(up 2.83%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.05%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.56%), Tata Motors(up 1.49%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.31%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.31%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.21%), NTPC(up 1.19%) and Bajaj Finance(up 1.12%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys(down 2.12%), Reliance Industries(down 0.9%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.85%), ICICI Bank(down 0.82%), Asian Paints(down 0.8%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.71%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.69%), Shree Cement(down 0.67%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.64%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.48%) were trading in the red.
