NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 323.34 points down at 58340.99 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Tarini International(down 9.43 per cent), Captain Pipes(down 9.43 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 9.29 per cent), Centenial Surg(down 8.95 per cent) and Benara Bearings(down 7.50 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 17 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 88.3 points down at 17415.05.
On the BSE, Vikas Proppant & Gr, Vanta Bioscience, Bloom Ind, Spandana Sphoorty and Kansal Fibres hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Dr. Lalchandani Labs, Dhruv Consultancy, Latent View Analytics Ltd., Ajanta Soya and Jagan Lamps touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
