NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1687.94 points down at 57107.15 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Riddhi Steel and Tub(down 19.09 per cent), Chalet Hotels(down 14.42 per cent), Eastern Treads(down 13.82 per cent), Inventure Grwth(down 11.46 per cent) and Finkurve Fin Svc(down 11.34 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 5 stocks closed in the green, while 45 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 509.8 points down at 17026.45.
On the BSE, Finkurve Fin Svc, Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd., Macro Exports, Milgrey Finance and GCM Comm hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Urja Global(PP), Tarsons Products Ltd., Palred Technologies, Vegetable Products and Sarthak Metals touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
