Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:51AM

ADF Foods(up 0.57%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.55%), Dabur India(up 0.49%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.14%) and Zydus Wellness(up 0.09%) were among the top gainers.

Prataap Snacks(down 4.65%), Nakoda Group(down 4.43%), Heritage Foods(down 4.03%), Dangee Dums(down 3.26%), DFM Foods(down 3.10%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.98%), Umang Dairies(down 2.89%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 2.88%), Parag Milk(down 2.72%) and Bajaj Consumer(down 2.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 396.35 points down at 17139.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 1330.91 points at 57464.18 at around 10:51AM.

Cipla(up 5.23%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 3.08%) and Divis Laboratories(up 1.19%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 5.35%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 4.13%), Maruti Suzuki(down 4.12%), Hindalco Industries(down 4.09%), Tata Steel(down 4.08%), Bajaj Finance(down 4.05%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.94%), Titan Company Ltd(down 3.89%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 3.75%) and JSW Steel(down 3.63%) were trading in the red.
