The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 430.75 points down at 17105.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 1441.99 points at 57353.1 at around 11:01AM.
Cipla(up 5.51%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.8%) and Divis Laboratories(up 0.86%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 5.61%), Tata Steel(down 4.57%), Bajaj Finance(down 4.16%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 4.16%), Hindalco Industries(down 4.09%), Titan Company Ltd(down 4.04%), Maruti Suzuki(down 4.01%), JSW Steel(down 3.88%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.71%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.69%) were trading in the red.
