Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 2.78 points up at 57109.93 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ujaas Energy(down 10.19 per cent), Phyto Chem(down 9.84 per cent), Super Tex Ind(down 9.59 per cent), Tarsons Products Ltd.(down 9.23 per cent) and TCI Finance(down 9.09 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 14 stocks traded in the green, while 36 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 12.55 points down at 17013.9.

On the BSE, Kesoram Inds.(PP), Sapphire Foods India Ltd., Spandana Sphoorty, Triveni Enterprises and Sigachi Industries Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Omnipotent Industries Ltd., Decipher Labs, Octavius Plantations, Vegetable Products and Capital Trade Links touched their fresh 52-week highs.
