NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 17.46 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.97 crore), Indian Info Sof(numbers of share traded: 3.37 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 3.12 crore), Suncare Traders(numbers of share traded: 1.77 crore), Yamini Invst(numbers of share traded: 1.71 crore), PMC Fincorp (numbers of share traded: 1.51 crore), FCS Software(numbers of share traded: 1.40 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.22 crore) and Virtual Global(numbers of share traded: 1.20 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 27.5 points up at 17053.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 153.43 points at 57260.58.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
