The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 57.7 points up at 17084.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 248.57 points at 57355.72 at around 10:09AM.
Hindalco Industries(up 2.84%), Reliance Industries(up 2.74%), HCL Technologies(up 2.33%), Tata Steel(up 2.0%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.71%), Tata Motors(up 1.6%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.57%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.28%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.24%) and Grasim Industries(up 0.99%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 2.11%), Nestle India(down 1.49%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.44%), HDFC(down 1.43%), UPL Ltd(down 1.32%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.29%), Shree Cement(down 1.07%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.03%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.96%) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.91%) were trading in the red.
