NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 195.71 points down at 57064.87 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Manas Properties(down 15.00 per cent), Starlit Power Sys.(down 12.93 per cent), Sigachi Industries Ltd.(down 12.07 per cent), Sikozy Realtors(down 10.00 per cent) and Decipher Labs(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 70.75 points down at 16983.2.
On the BSE, Manas Properties, Sigachi Industries Ltd., DCB Bank, Gulf Oil India and CreditAccess Grameen hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Go Fashion(India)Ltd., KPIT Tech, Orient Electric, Timken India and Lovable Lingerie touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
