Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty ended 70.75 points down at 16983.2, while the BSE Sensex closed 195.71 points down at 57064.87.
On the other hand, Go Fashion(India)Ltd., KPIT Tech, Timken India, Orient Electric and Lovable Lingerie stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, Power Grid, Titan Company, SBI Life, Shree Cements and Bajaj Finserv were among the top gainers on the NSE in the today’s trade.
Meanwhile, Tata Steel, Kotak Bank, JSW Steel, Adani Ports SEZ and M&M were among the top losers of the day.
