Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Power, Ambuja Cements, APL Apollo Tubes, Astral Poly Technik, BASF India, Avenue Supermarts, Indiabulls Real Estate, Orchid Pharma, Orient Cement, Prabhat Dairy, Quick Heal Technologies and UltraTech Cement.
Overall, 32 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 18 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, GAIL, UPL , ONGC, Larsen & Toubro and NTPC were among top gainers, while UltraTech Cem., Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Wipro and HDFC were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 97.75 points up at 50503.07. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Sugar, Mining, General and Metals – Ferrous sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, IT – Hardware, Airlines, Auto and Retail sectors.
