LIC Housing Stock Price: LIC Housing shares gain 1.69% as Sensex rises

Shares of Finance Ltd. traded 1.69 per cent up at Rs 426.05 at 11:02AM (IST) on Thursday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 430.08 points to 50091.84. The scrip had closed at Rs 418.95 in the previous session.

The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 487.5 and Rs 209.5, respectively.

As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 11:02AM (IST) stood at 11:02AM shares with turnover at Rs 2.0 crore.

At the current price, the stock trades at 7.74 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 54.78 per share and 0.65 times its price-to-book value, BSE data showed.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.33.


Shareholding Details

Promoters held 40.31 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2020, while FIIs owned 29.26 per cent and DIIs 17.88 per cent.
