Jubilant Food Stock Price: Share price of Jubilant Food falls as Sensex drops 471.43 points

The share price of Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. dropped 1.38 per cent to Rs 2724.55 at 11:23AM (IST) in Thursday’s trade. The scrip has hit a high of Rs 2799.0 and low of Rs 2715.55 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 2762.6 in the previous session.

The counter has had a total traded volume of 6944 shares so far with a value of Rs 1.91 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 225.34 and a price-to-book ratio of 17.29.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and reflects the price investors are willing to pay even for no growth in the business.

The scrip gained 97.56 per cent during the past one year, while the 30-share index advanced 74.25 per cent during the same period.

The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1085.15 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, up 28.01 per cent from the previous quarter’s Rs 847.68 crore and up 0.22 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 1087.53 crore.

Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 124.13 crore, up 21.95 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
