Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Monday after a week of largely upbeat earnings, with investors awaiting data to gauge the pace of the country’s economic recovery.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 270.04 points, or 0.80%, at the open to 34,145.03.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 19.81 points, or 0.47%, at 4,201.03, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.45 points, or 0.01%, to 13,964.14 at the opening bell.
