NSE-BSE bulk deals: Sunil Singhania’s Abakkus picks up stake in IDFC via bulk deal

MUMBAI: Prominent asset manager Sunil Singhania’s Abakkus Emerging Opportunities Fund – 1 has picked up 0.6 per cent stake or 10 million shares of IDFC Ltd through a bulk deal on the BSE at Rs 38.75 apiece.

Besides Abakkus Asset Manager LLP, Avendus Absolute Return Fund and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore PTE have also bought 14.96 million and 13.2 million shares respectively in IDFC via separate bulk deals on the BSE.

In a separate deal, Sipadan Investments (Mauritius), a company owned by the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia Khazanah Nasional, sold 82.65 million shares or 5.17% stake in IDFC at Rs 38.76. Prior to today’s stake sale, Sipadan Investments held 9.47% stake in the financial services company.

Meanwhile, Elara India Opportunities Fund sold 2.14 million shares of SE Power Ltd at Rs 4 per share on the National Stock Exchange.
