Grasim Industries: The
Group firm reported a 13.3 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 2,616.64 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,309.41 crore during the January-March quarter of the previous financial year.
Infosys: The co-founder of IT giant SD Shibulal purchased shares worth Rs 100 crore of the company through an open market transaction. Shibulal bought over 7.45 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 1,342.05 per share, valuing the transaction at Rs 100 crore, BSE block deal data showed.
Dalmia Bharat Sugar: The sugar company reported a 16 per cent fall in its consolidated net profit at Rs 51.86 crore for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year on lower income. Its net profit stood at Rs 61.95 crore in the year ago period.
ICICI Securities: The domestic brokerage said its customers can now invest in bourses in the United Kingdom, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany and Singapore. Customers can invest up to USD 250,000 per year in overseas markets in stocks, exchange traded funds, mutual funds (non-US) and fixed income products traded in those exchanges.
The Ramco Cements: The Cement firm reported a 51.1 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 215.92 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021 helped by growth in sales. It had posted a net profit of Rs 142.90 crore in January-March 2019-20, The Ramco Cements said.
Bharti : The telecom major said its network is fully ready for 5G and also announced deployment of additional spectrum in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to boost network quality.
ITC: The hotel division of the FMCG major ITC Hotels said that it became the first hotel chain in the world to receive the platinum level certification in infection risk management from Norway-based DNV, a global leader that aims at boosting customers’ confidence in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.
India Cements: N Srinivasan led cement company reported a standalone net profit at 71.63 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2021 on the back of strong sales. It had posted a standalone net loss at Rs 111.07 during the same quarter last fiscal.
Batteries: A block deal of 1.7 crore shares is likely on the counter today. The floor price for the deal has been fixed at Rs 746, 4.8 per cent discount to the Monday’s close.
DHFL: The committee of creditors of DHFL has challenged the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) order directing the lenders to consider the offer by the debt-ridden mortgage firm’s erstwhile promoter Kapil Wadhawan.
