Guar gum prices on Monday fell by Rs 36 to Rs 6,074 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with weak trend in spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for February delivery eased by Rs 36, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 6,074 per five quintal in 52,205 lots.
Guar gum for March delivery traded lower by Rs 41, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 6,142 per five quintal in 2,480 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in spot market and increased supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
