ashok leyland share price: Ashok Leyland shares down 0.36% as Sensex falls

Shares of Ltd. fell 0.36 per cent to Rs 124.3 in Tuesday’s session as of 12:14PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 185.04 points lower at 52550.55.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 138.85 and a 52-week low of Rs 46.6 on NSE. Around 422438 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:14PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 125.5 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 126.2 and Rs 124.15 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of -220.92, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs -0.56 and price to book value (PB) of 1.62, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs -2.1.


Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 51.54 per cent stake in the company as of June 29, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 18.08 per cent and 9.76 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 36503.28 crore, the company operates in the Auto – Cars/UV/CV industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 8176.73 crore, up 36.27 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 6000.28 crore and up 59.48 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 352.56 crore for the latest quarter, up 1851.08 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Technical Indicators
The relative strength index (RSI) of the stock stands at 53.1. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, it is considered overbought condition when the RSI value is above 70 and oversold condition when it is below 30.
