NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 354.89 points down at 52198.51 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Allsec Tech (down 12.03 per cent), Upasana Finance (down 9.79 per cent), Ind Bank Hous (down 8.71 per cent), DCM Shriram (down 8.62 per cent) and Cravatex Ltd (down 8.60 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 10 stocks closed in the green, while 40 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 120.3 points down at 15632.1.
On the BSE, Shashank Traders, Regal Entertain, ERP Soft Sys, Aneri Fincap and Tricom Fruit hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Add-Shop E-Retail, Rama Phosphates, Filtra Consultants &, Ram Info and Metroglobal Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
