NEW DELHI: Asian Paints (Rs. 2087.98 crore), ACC (Rs. 1965.59 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs. 1744.60 crore), Clean Science & Technology Ltd. (Rs. 1184.38 crore), Tata Steel (Rs. 1065.42 crore), HCL Tech (Rs. 999.85 crore), BSE (Rs. 894.78 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs. 848.16 crore), Tata Motors (Rs. 842.15 crore) and Bajaj Finance (Rs. 835.40 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 120.3 points down at 15632.1, while BSE Sensex fell 354.89 points to 52198.51.
In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd. (up 5.94 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.54 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.09 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 0.98 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 0.94 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 3.51 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 3.38 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.61 per cent), NTPC Ltd. (down 2.43 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (down 2.36 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
