MPhasis (up 2.4 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 2.38 per cent), Infosys (up 1.29 per cent), Coforge (up 1.18 per cent) and Mindtree (up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Wipro (down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.77 per cent at 30124.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.65 points at 15869.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 35.99 points at 53011.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
