Divis Laboratories (up 1.24 per cent), Cipla (up 1.13 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.11 per cent), Alkem Laboratories (up 0.8 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 0.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Cadila Healthcare (down 1.15 per cent) and Biocon (down 1.09 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.6 per cent at 14685.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.0 points at 15863.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 12.78 points at 52988.58.
