MPhasis (up 1.16 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 0.81 per cent), Infosys (up 0.68 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.58 per cent) and Coforge (up 0.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.67 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.5 per cent) and Mindtree (down 0.46 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.41 per cent at 30605.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 87.8 points at 15850.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 276.53 points at 52863.37.
