Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 125.13 points up at 54402.85 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Transglobe Foods (down 19.60 per cent), Quick Heal Tech (down 17.73 per cent), Shree Steel Wire (down 15.58 per cent), Chaman Lal Setia (down 13.67 per cent) and Rajoo Engineers (down 13.56 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 20.05 points up at 16258.25.

On the BSE, Acewin Agriteck, Garnet Intnl, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Kuberan Global Edu Solutions Ltd. and JLAInfraville&Shop hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Rolex Rings Ltd., Dhabriya Polywood, SSPDL Ltd, Veeram Securities and Century Extrus touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
