NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 13.83 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 2.46 crore), JCT Ltd (numbers of share traded: 1.72 crore), Future Consumer (numbers of share traded: 0.97 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 0.92 crore), Indian Info Sof (numbers of share traded: 0.83 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 0.78 crore), G V Films (numbers of share traded: 0.60 crore), Maha Corp Ltd (numbers of share traded: 0.57 crore) and SAIL (numbers of share traded: 0.52 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 21.85 points up at 16280.1, while BSE Sensex ended up 151.81 points at 54554.66.
On the other hand, Shree Cements Ltd. (down 4.09 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 3.37 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.73 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 2.18 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (down 2.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
