Shares of Sunteck Realty (up 0.7 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 0.4 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 0.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects (down 4.56 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (down 2.55 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (down 2.53 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.06 per cent) and SOBHA (down 0.9 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.92 per cent down at 394.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 164.7 points at 16529.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 593.31 points at 55437.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, NALCO and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Shriram City Union, SVP Global, Kovai Medical, Technocraft Ind and Krebs Biochem hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Chaman Lal Setia, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd., Future Market, Gulf Oil India and YES Bank hit their fresh 52-week lows.
