NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 593.31 points up at 55437.29 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Indian Acrylics (down 12.44 per cent), Nucleus Soft (down 12.25 per cent), Uni Abex Alloy (down 11.92 per cent), BCL Enterprises (down 10.00 per cent) and Shree Hari Chem (down 9.97 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 164.7 points up at 16529.1.
On the BSE, Palm Jewels, Shashank Traders, KCD Industries India, Ozone World and Advance Lifestyles Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shankar Lal Rampal, Panchsheel Org, RTS Power, SVP Global and Medi-Caps Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
