Shares of Mindtree (up 5.93 per cent), Coforge (up 2.19 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.46 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 0.21 per cent) and MPhasis (up 0.1 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.75 per cent), Wipro (down 0.87 per cent), HCL Technologies (down 0.76 per cent), Infosys (down 0.47 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (down 0.08 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.1 per cent up at 33448.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 45.75 points at 16568.85, while the BSE Sensex stood down 162.78 points at 55629.49.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.

Shares of Meghmani Finechem Ltd., VST Tiller Trac, Pioneer Distil, Kabra Extrusion and MPS Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd., Shrenik, Viceroy Hotels, Vertoz Advertising and Future Market hit their fresh 52-week lows.
