Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 29.9 points to 16664.55 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as CarTrade Tech Ltd., Keerti Knowledge and Radha Madhav, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 17 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 33 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, HDFC Life, RIL, Britannia and Kotak Bank were among top gainers, while Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, JSW Steel, Hindalco and Tata Steel traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 124.73 points up at 56068.94 at 11:04AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, Rubber, Logistics, Retail and Defence sectors, while selling was visible in IT – Hardware, Petrochemicals, Power, Tea / Coffee and Telecommunications sectors.
