Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 2.65 points to 16634.25 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Hero MotoCorp and CarTrade Tech Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 31 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, L&T, Sun Pharma, Grasim Inds. and Coal India Ltd were among top gainers, while ICICI Bank, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Eicher Motors and Infosys traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 60.38 points down at 55888.72 at 10:09AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, Metals – Ferrous, Mining, Metals – Non Ferrous and Construction sectors, while selling was visible in IT – Hardware, Petrochemicals, Power, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Sugar sectors.
