Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Madhya Bharat Agro, Pritika Auto Ind, Stove Kraft Ltd., Thangamayil Jew and Punjab Chemical, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday’s trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 225.85 points up at 16931.05 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Shirpur Gold, Vertoz Advertising, Rex Pipes and Cables Industries Ltd., Autolite India and We Win, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 43 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 7 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Divis Labs and Coal India Ltd were among top gainers during the day, while Tech Mahindra, Nestle India, Eicher Motors, Infosys and TCS ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 765.04 points up at 56889.76.

Traders piled up positions in Diversified, Metals – Ferrous, Telecommunications, Services and Rubber sectors, while selling was witnessed in IT – Hardware, Petrochemicals, IT Enabled Services, Power and Sugar sectors during the day.
