Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.57 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 0.33 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IndusInd Bank (down 1.27 per cent), IDFCBANK (down 1.04 per cent), RBLBANK (down 0.83 per cent), Punjab National Bank (down 0.68 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank (down 0.64 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.07 per cent at 36321.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.55 points at 16962.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 117.36 points at 57007.12.
