NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 277.41 points up at 58129.95 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jet Infraventure (down 20.00 per cent), NPR Finance (down 10.01 per cent), Ridings Consulting (down 9.87 per cent), BNR Udyog (down 9.56 per cent) and Best Eastern (down 9.07 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 89.45 points up at 17323.6.
On the BSE, Jet Infraventure, Ridings Consulting, Aneri Fincap, Garodia Chem and Aashka Hospitals Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Faze Three Ltd, Yashraj Contain, STEL Holdings, Shriram City Union and Sarthak Metals touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
