NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 29.22 points down at 58250.26 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Unishire Urban Infr (down 19.64 per cent), Benara Bearings (down 13.02 per cent), Crane Infrastructure (down 9.99 per cent), Franklin Leasing & F (down 9.93 per cent) and Sun Retail (down 9.84 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 8.6 points down at 17353.5.
On the BSE, Sun Retail, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., RJ Shah Co, Parker Agrochem and Welcon International hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Alphageo , Goldiam Intnl, Kamdhenu, Arman Financial and ADC India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
