RBLBANK (up 1.63 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.96 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.79 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 0.37 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Axis Bank (down 0.67 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.47 per cent) and IDFCBANK (down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.02 per cent at 36607.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.7 points at 17443.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 139.79 points at 58386.88.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
