NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 96.74 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 33.81 crore), Zee Ent. (numbers of share traded: 20.03 crore), Dish TV India (numbers of share traded: 11.53 crore), Tata Power (numbers of share traded: 6.89 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 5.76 crore), Bharti Airtel (numbers of share traded: 5.58 crore), NTPC (numbers of share traded: 4.87 crore), GTL Infra (numbers of share traded: 4.85 crore) and ONGC (numbers of share traded: 4.24 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 139.45 points up at 17519.45, while BSE Sensex ended up 476.11 points at 58723.2.
On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.11 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.64 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.55 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.45 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd. (down 0.38 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
