The exchange on August 23 had announced new eligibility criteria which allowed REITs and InvITs to be included in Nifty indices from September 30.
“Few stakeholders are in discussions with NSE indices and have raised concerns regarding inclusion of REITs/InvITs in Nifty indices. These are being examined and a final decision regarding inclusion of REITs/InvITs will be taken post completion of review and discussions with stakeholders,” said NSE.
The previous announcement on inclusion of REITs and InvITs in Nifty indices has been put on hold, said NSE.
The inclusion of Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT and IRB InvIT Fund in various equity indices that was announced on August 23 stands revoked, the exchange said.
