Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 163.11 points up at 60048.47 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, RMC Switchgears (down 13.79 per cent), Paramone Concepts (down 10.98 per cent), Gautam Exim (down 9.97 per cent), Radhey Trade Holding (down 9.97 per cent) and Mehta Integrat (down 9.60 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 30.25 points up at 17853.2.

On the BSE, Regency Investments, Superior Finlease, Purple Entertainment, Priya Ltd and Nova Pub hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mangal Credit, Chandra Bhagat Pharm, Indus Towers, NIIT and Anand Rayons touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
