RBLBANK (up 1.96 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 1.56 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 1.47 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 1.32 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 1.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.
AU Small Finance Bank (down 0.66 per cent) and IDFCBANK (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.89 per cent at 38167.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.55 points at 17831.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 34.18 points at 60014.29.
