NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 254.33 points down at 59413.27 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Shree Krishna Infras(down 11.39 per cent), Gini Silk Mill(down 10.00 per cent), MAC Hotels(down 9.91 per cent), Dr. Lalchandani Labs(down 9.88 per cent) and Yashraj Contain(down 9.76 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 37.3 points down at 17711.3.
On the BSE, MAC Hotels, Naapbooks Ltd., Arman Holdings, Purple Entertainment and Superior Finlease hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Simmonds Marsh, Akashdeep Metal, PTC India, Max Ventures Ind and Arvind SmartSpaces touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
