NEW DELHI: Max Healthcare(Rs. 3364.86 crore), HDFC AMC(Rs. 2129.06 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1904.63 crore), Coal India Ltd(Rs. 1891.82 crore), SBI(Rs. 1759.56 crore), Sun Pharma(Rs. 1486.53 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(Rs. 1371.37 crore), Godrej Properties(Rs. 1318.22 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1311.56 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 1296.99 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 37.3 points down at 17711.3, while BSE Sensex fell 254.33 points to 59413.27.
In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 6.59 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 6.39 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 6.03 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 4.67 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 3.66 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
