NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 12.78 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 8.32 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 6.92 crore), Trident Ltd(number of shares traded: 6.30 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.78 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 4.35 crore), Reliance Comm(number of shares traded: 3.01 crore), ONGC(number of shares traded: 2.73 crore), Ashok Leyland(number of shares traded: 2.56 crore) and Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 2.37 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 166.05 points up at 17812.05, while BSE Sensex was up 568.14 points at 59757.87 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 9.21 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 9.00 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 3.97 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.58 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.60 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
