The NSE Nifty50 index ended 144.35 points up at 17790.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 488.1 points at 59677.83.
Tata Motors(up 12.04%), Titan Company Ltd(up 10.6%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 5.29%), Maruti Suzuki(up 4.07%), Eicher Motors(up 3.37%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.08%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.83%), Asian Paints(up 2.45%), HCL Technologies(up 2.42%) and Tech Mahindra(up 2.28%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 4.58%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.32%), Coal India(down 1.11%), Britannia Industries(down 0.96%), HDFC(down 0.87%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.83%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.75%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.62%), Nestle India(down 0.58%) and Grasim Industries(down 0.44%) closed in the red.
