Ashok Leyland Share Price: Ashok Leyland shares down 0.29% as Sensex rises

Shares of Ltd. fell 0.29 per cent to Rs 135.3 in Friday’s session as of 12:55PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 354.59 points higher at 60032.42.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 143.25 and a 52-week low of Rs 72.0 on NSE. Around 408308 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:55PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 136.8 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 138.0 and Rs 134.55 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of -1318.59, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs -0.1 and price to book value (PB) of 4.24, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs -2.1.

The promoters held 51.54 per cent stake in the company as of October 08, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 17.04 per cent and 11.27 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4103.27 crore, down 49.82 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 8176.73 crore and down 171.44 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net loss of Rs 273.86 crore for the latest quarter, down 33.05 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
