NEW DELHI: JP Power(numbers of share traded: 25.10 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 18.18 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 9.37 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.30 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 8.17 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.32 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 6.01 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 4.34 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 4.14 crore) and Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 3.85 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 104.85 points up at 17895.2, while BSE Sensex ended up 381.23 points at 60059.06.
On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.18 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
