NEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 4660.94 crore), TCS(Rs. 4385.96 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(Rs. 3153.15 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 2906.85 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 2381.14 crore), RIL(Rs. 1828.12 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1501.70 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1066.90 crore), SBI(Rs. 967.39 crore) and SterlingWilson Solar(Rs. 885.04 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 50.75 points up at 17945.95, while BSE Sensex rose 76.72 points to 60135.78.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 8.57 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 4.46 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 3.64 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 3.31 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.06 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 6.35 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
